Neuromentalist meets Scientist

Interactive show with experiments, illusions, amazement, and lots of fun.
Winterthur’s neuro-mentalist and magician Pad Alexander uses sleight of hand, (body) language, and his knowledge of human psychology to create magical effects. Our scientific collaborator Marco Miranda sheds light on the magic of the human brain from a scientific perspective. Experience a humorous duel between science and mental magic. Science meets Magic is an entertaining and educational show where science and art are magically combined! The amazement, wonder, and curiosity linger long after the show ends.

Science meets Magic can be booked externally at a location of your choice, at your site, or in-house at Technorama. Please inquire about the general conditions.

About Pad Alexander:

Pad discovered his passion for magic at an early age. What began with a magic kit gifted on his 8th birthday and small performances for family has grown into a magical entertainment show for all ages. For him, an illusion is no longer just a simple trick. Pad Alexander is a true artist. «To make an illusion work for the audience, knowing a trick is not enough,» he says. Controlled (body) language, skill, and extensive knowledge of human psychology are the ingredients he combines. The result? “Oh!” and “Ahh!” from the audience. And that’s exactly what they want: to have their senses deceived and to lose the ability to distinguish between reality and illusion.

About Marco Miranda:

PhD in Philosophy, Astrophysics, and Cosmology.
Marco has worked at Technorama for many years. His specialties include designing and developing exhibits and science shows, training educators and instructors, and advising other science centers, museums, groups, and companies as a science educator and exhibit developer. He says: “Sometimes I’m a physicist, sometimes a researcher and developer, sometimes an actor and musician. But I’m always all of those things together.”
