One hand strokes a coarse grid, the other hand strokes a fine grid, then both hands simultaneously stroke a grid whose mesh size lies between the other two. For the hand that is used to coarse, this grid is perceived as finer, but for the hand that is used to fine, the same grid is perceived as coarse.
